Say goodbye to plain old tops and embrace springs’ essential trend: bell sleeves. A chic, feminine and flattering 70s inspired look, the bell sleeve is a fun and elegant update to a long sleeve top silhouette. It brings the perfect relaxed glamour vibe to an outfit and is easily adaptable for any occasion.
There’s only one simple styling rule when it comes to bell sleeves and that’s to wear it with a slim pant or tailored skirt/ shorts to balance the volume on top. Avoid billowy wide-leg pants and let the bell sleeves be the wow factor with just a slim leg pant or jeans.
Going out? Try this look
No longer are dresses my go-to for going-out style. I’ve become a pant/ skirt and top kind of girl, mostly because of the versatility it offers. One of my biggest rules for purchasing new clothing is ‘can I wear it to work and over the weekend?’ if not, I generally won’t buy it.
Not the case for this bell-sleeve top by Keepsake the Label (from fashionbunker.com). It’s relaxed shape with a dressy floral print makes is an easy piece for going out or wearing to work. I love the look of casual and dressy mixed together so paring it back with denim is a go-to styling trick for me.
This look I wore out on a Saturday to a long lunch, so I wanted to keep it fairly relaxed. Here I paired it with white block heels but could also be further elevated with point toe stilettos.
Bell Sleeves Still look good when it’s cold….
Just layer over a leather jacket
