If there’s one street style trend that couldn’t be ignored at Fashion Week’s this year, its millennial pink.
The perfect option for high impact street style, there’s a few do’s and Don’t’s of wearing pink to take note of.
Surprisingly easy to wear, pink works for everyday or an occasion outfitting. For a casual look pair with denim and a basic white tee (as I’ve done here) or for the brave, try head to toe pink or colour block it with a lipstick red.
For first time wearers, opt for either a pink top or jacket as these are easy items to create a pared back pink look with.
The bright & bold pop pink proved to be a winner, spotted on fashion favourites including Aimee Song & Chiara Ferragni. After giving it a whirl myself, I’m officially an advocate, it’s one of those colours that looks good regardless of skin tone or hair colour.
Do’s and Don’t’s of wearing pink
Do wear it head to toe
For an edgy look
Do colour block with red
If you want high impact, on trend style
Do mix with other shades of pink
To create an interesting and well curated outfit
Don’t pick a poor quality pink garment
It’ll only come across as tacky
Don’t wear it on a fit & flare dress
Unless you want to look like barbie
Don’t wear it with stripes
It’s a bit of an eye sore
